Donation of used items

Hi guys and gals,

If you have any used items suitable for the following charity organizations:

1) Canossaville Children's Home
2) Children's Aid Society
3) Grace Haven

Please bring it down to

Here are some suggestions from the organizers:

1) Clothes – Got to be in near mint condition
2) Games, Toys - board games, soccer balls, basketballs, skipping ropes, hand held games, computer games
(CD-Rom), stuff toys (in near mint conditions, of course)
3) Books - storybooks, computer books, recent school textbooks
4) Stationery - pencils, colour pencils, rulers, erasers, pens, glue, correction pens, papers

Last day for collection: 17 Dec 2004

Ok... been thinking about this for a long time.

I've a 128MB RAM, AMD K6-2/500Mhz with Asus P5a sitting and doing nothing, my 14" Acer monitor is bonkers and needs time to warm up before it's usable.

I'm lacking - floppy, PSU, CD-ROM drive, video card (AGP/PCI) and a HD and the system will be fully usable.

If anybody will like to donate toward this system, I'll donate the working system to the organisation. I'll do the setting up of the system after collecting the parts or if you don't trust me, I'll pass it to someone who's trustworthy to fix up.

This was my working system from 1999 till year 2001. After that it's been used only for surfing and networking (UNIX <-> Windows).

If anybody can donate a Win98SE or WinME (licenced software) I'll even install it and setup the system.

List of MIA items:
  • CDROM (IDE pls, I dun have SCSI onboard)
  • Harddisk (IDE, not SATA/SCSI)
  • Power Supply Unit
  • VGA card (PCI/AGP)
  • Licensed software (Windows 98SE, XP Home etc, MS Office Business Edition 95, 97 etc)

i have a sony 17 inch CRT..... if you want, i can chip that in to replace your acer 14 " ....

I've a 15" Sony CRT Multiscan100SF to donate now... :)
 

Just checked with the organizers. They are fine with donation of monitors as long they are in good working condition.

Btw, please give the organizer, Han Chiu a call before going down to the shop. His number can be found in the url. Thanks. :)
