Domke?

Is it really worth spending $$$ on a Domke bag? Other than the not so camera bag looking (can also buy a S$20 casual bag to not look like a camera bag mah...), low protection (little padding)...what's the benefit of it? Can buy a similar Lowepro or Crumpler bag at half the price.

The Bellingham bags are even more expensive...S$4xx.

some people swear by the ballastic nylon material... personally i go more for how the bag is designed than the material. i've got a crumpler and 2 lowpros and they work fine for me...

The Domke design are very simple. Yes, like the 70's or 80's school bag. I find the metal click to be very hard to unlock too.

Anybody having this Domke bag that wants to share your view?

I have the J3, Its WONDERFUL. period. Smart looking, protective, dosent scream "Look at my expensive camera gear". Well worth the 100 us bucks I paid for it. Only complaint is the black gets hot in the sunlight , but hey a black plastic bag would too! I have toyed with getting a CCS bag from UK but ended up not liking the "hey, Leica in here look" My Domke wass well worth it.
