Does this lens have Quick Shift feature?

Does the Pentax DA 18-55 AL 1 (i.e. Version 1 of the kit lens) have the Quick Shift feature? I saw it advertised here and notice the seller hasn't included the letter 'L' in the lens designation. Seller is yet to get back to me.

I will have two copies of the original K-x kit lens (DA L 18-55) with plastic mounts shipped to me within the next few days. Am wondering if I should pick up a DA 18-55 with quick shift feature. How often do you need to use this feature on a relatively wide angle lens? Is it really that useful?

Won't simply flicking the focus switch to M position briefly and changing focus do instead - assuming this feature won't be used often?

Also, Is the AL II version much better than the AL 1?

Your individual experiences and comments will help me to decide.

I suggest you save your money. DAL is the same optical design as DAII, less the quick shift.
I don't think you will miss quick shift much on the kit lens. The DOF is not exactly shallow so you won't mis-focus that often.

If you have it, you can use it, if you don't, don't worry about it.
