Just wondering out loud:

Can your subject just walk away with the shutter still open for a slow sync shot so that the bkgd can be exposed?

Depending on ambient lighting conditions, he/she may/may not leave behind a "ghost" image.

depends on the background. I tried once (using 15s slow sync)... and streaks of car lights appeared in the hair and face ;p

So bkgd shld be dark? and shutter should not be open too long?
