Hi all,

Do you guys use DR setting in camera to shoot? I been shooting photo without DR on.

PLease share some thought... :)

Use it if you understand what it does and when you need it for that specific picture.
What others do should not matter.

Yes. When i was using my D800, i have it on. The colors are richer and more recoverable. I recommend it.

I see.... but just a noob question, will DR setting in camera affect raw file?

No. It will not make the DR of the RAW file better.

But if you open the RAW file using ViewNX or Capture NX, it will apply the Dynamic Lighting settings as set in your camera when you took the shot.

Thanks for clarify :)
