Do you take off your camera strap before putting the camera into the drybox or cabinet? Will a sweat drenched camera strap caused fungus to grow?

For me i dont really mind this(putting tgt /w dSLR) because i dont think my strap contains sweat as i do not hang around my neck. I think if you sling the strap around ur arms(as u hold the cam) it should be fine. :D

The moisture on the strap will not cause fungus to grow, it will just cause your drybox to work a little harder to bring down the humidity to the set level.

What actually cause fungus to grow? Is moisture one of the factor?

I think mould is a more appropriate word to use then fungus.. :think:
Yes, moisture is one big factor that causes it.

I leave my stuffs (including the strap) in the drycabi and let it do all the work....
