do u close one eye when u look through the viewfinder

I always shoot with both eyes open, as this will give me awareness of my surroundings. Besides, the eye that is not viewing the viewfinder can "hunt" the subject.

Me terbalik.... need to open both eyes otherwise can't focus...

When composing, use one eye. Can concentrate better on the viewfinder.
When resting, open 2 eyes, relax hands
When idle (Things still happening but not compsing), open 2 eyes: Either to track target cuz maybe target or subject of interest not in frame or moving. If not, use left eye to look around, increase situational awareness... Haha...

Anw, diff ppl diff style... Just do what's comfortable for your eyes

never thought of it until you ask. tried and realised i did it both ways, either both opened, or squinted on the right (look via the left eye).

however i wonder if you need to strain your eye, could it be due to a wrong diopter setting?
