thank goodness these days nuclear bombs are for show only...

USA lost the vietnam war despite having nuclear weapons which they chose not to deploy.
USSR lost the afghanistan war despite having nuclear weapons which they chose not to deploy.

Those are strategic WMD leh. :bsmilie:

Totally inappropriate for asymmetrical warfare.

Don't strike - 10x more trouble when later the other guy becomes a nuclear power.
Why you worry so much? They took 37 years to build a nuclear reactor that will probably take the Japanese to construct an equivalent in 3 years or less.

By the time they photoshop a nuclear fizzle in the desert, revolution long over liao loh. :bsmilie:

Until you realise that 1 fizzle is pretty huge fizzle already hahaha!

choice of nuclear warfare not the best la. America want oil say from middle east. Drop one nukie over, they also cannot go in liao, how to take over the oil!

It is called a brush back pitch- a term from baseball. Panetta was hinting to Israel NOT to do it, in view of global economy consequences. Moreover, if you are going to carry out a secret raid on a target, you do not want that to be announced by some one else to the whole world a few months in advance.

Could be the message is I may not do it but someone will, & soon so you better stop your nonsense :) I believe Israel is already doing all the preparations for possible strike, they are not one to stand & stare, before it hits you in the eye.

verily true :bsmilie:

one day the US will realize that their "freedom of speech" is really killing them.

plus the US government's way of revealing covert plans and certain documents have been proven time and time again to allow their enemies abroad and at home to use that information against them.

Ah, anyone remember The Battle of Goose Green during the Falklands War?

During the planning of the assault of both Darwin and Goose Green, the Battalion Headquarters were listening in to the BBC World Service. The newsreader announced that the 2nd Battalion of the Parachute Regiment were poised and ready to assault Darwin and Goose Green, causing great confusion with the commanding officers of the battalion. Lieutenant Colonel Jones became furious with the level of incompetence and told BBC representative Robert Fox he was going to sue the BBC, Whitehall and the War Cabinet. The Argentine forces were listening in to the broadcast, just as Jones feared. Doubtless working on the assumption that no country would announce its army's battle plans to the enemy, they dismissed it as a crude bluff. Battalion Headquarters had no way of knowing this and Major Chris Keeble was all for calling off the assault.

In the end the Brits went anyway hoping the Argies dismissed the news as a bluff.
Result: Brits won.

My point is they still have to long way to go even with the assistant of the Kim Jong-Un, anyway Mossad has been assassinating Key Appointment Holders (KAHs) and scientists in Iran left, right and centre recently.

Ironically, it was the Americans that assisted Iran to initiate its nuclear program from the early '50s and right through the late '70s under an "Atoms for Peace" program till the Shah of Iran was overthrow.
