Do I need a dry box in the states?

Hi guys! Just wondering if any bros here stayed long in the states (or more specifically near the northern areas like michigan). I will be there for quite some years so do i need a dry box to prevent growth on my lenses and cameras? From what i know, the weather there is much drier than sg.
