i know that for DSLRs, faster cards means that shooters can quickly take more pics as the time taken from 1 shot to another is shorter. but does this apply on prosumer or PnS cameras? currently, i only know that faster cards will help transfer pics faster to our PCs.

Not really, unless you have one of those 10megapixel 3 frames kind of cameras. The larger file size might take longer to write on slower cards.

However in movie mode, the frames may drop if the card is too slow.

thks for the advice. :) in that case, i think i can choose to buy those normal Kingston SD cards which are cheaper, rather than those elite pro types.

for just a few bucks more, i get the elite pro... who knows you might need the speed for some other devices in the near future? :dunno:

hmmm...prosumer cam usually can take RAW pics...thats where the speed will come in handy..if u juz shoot in jpg...any card will do...
