Does anyone have a suggestion of how to DIY a rear gelatin filter holder for wide angle lens that cant screw mount a ND filters in the front? I thinking of making one for some of my lens.

or those with a lens that has such feature eg Canon ef17-40mm, pls show me a photo can?

Easiest method is use double sided tape to tape the gelatin filter, but not the filter reusable.

If i make a holder ie like a slot to hold the filter, I m afraid it will be hit by the mirror.

I don't have any lens that uses rear gelatin holder, appreciate someone can post a photo of the holder at the rear of the lens, also advice if it is level or protruding with the rear of the metal mount, if it is protruding, pls advice by how many millimeter.

Thanks.

seems to be level with the rear of the metal mount. problem!!

examined my
1) Canon ef20-35mm f3.5-4.5, the rear glass element is level with the rear of the metal mount

2) Tokina ef19-35mm f3.5-4.5, the rear glass element is protruding, maybe 1mm

3) Samsang 14mm f2.8, rear glass element is level

needs to find other solution
