I have sucess modify a external battery pack for Nikon SB 800 and SiGma 500 DG
those interested may choose to PM me or call me
Using lead seal battery/charger/dummy battery and some spiral cable/ plus some connectors

on my nikon SB 800 done about 1k flash for 2 day event (ttl)
about $90
will be working on SB600 and other flash
just need to pot out 2 wires
No more fumbling for battery and missing next shot

anyway. this DIY pack. the recycling time is reduced rite. so er... comparable to SD-8a or if not quantum 1+ ?? ;)

im worried cos the DG500 may not be able to handle such fast shooting. may just fry the tube :think:

My SB 800 can handle per sec per shot tube not fried

you shoot ttl not full power i dun think will fried the tube
