i will be showing some of my photo of old places as part of community sharing with this art project. i am not the core group of "Fine Art" artists, but if you are interested, i will organise a photowalk to this buidling and the area around it. This 77 years old building will be torn down after this exhibition. (*there is one wk end which my photo will be taken down due to a performance/installation art.)

Will update this thread on the photographers & their works, that is part of this project over time.

Let me try to put some details of the photog that are showcasing at DISPLACEMENTS

MATTHEW G. JOHNSON

Matthew is a fine arts photographer based in Singapore who travels throughout Asia. Born in England, and raised on a diet of Ilford FP4 and Gallerie FB, he has subsequently been reborn into the digital realm.

At the core of his images, is the fascination with people and how they interact with their environment, and the conviction that the act of observation is an active process which drives the outcomes of the world we inhabit. Most recently he has been collaborating with a number of Asian dance companies and orchestras to create a breadth of unique images at a tangent to the art forms from which they derive.

He has worked with local dance companies T.H.E Dance Company and Arts Fission, as well as local music groups The Singapore Philharmonic Orchestra and Singapore Vocal Ensemble. He had his first solo exhibition at the NUS Arts Festival in March 2012 and has been widely published in journals including the International Herald Tribune, Financial Times and Straits Times with feature articles in both Lianhe Zaobao and Asian Geo.

Valence Sim - Street/documentary photographer who enjoys taking photos of old Singapore and old people.
2 upcoming exhibitions this year with regards to those.
his favorite medium is film photography.

Some of u guys would remember he was one of the group leader for ClubSnap X ASIA ('Asia Street In Action') photowalks last year, part of Clubsnap anniversary activities.

He said "No Pix, No Link. pop by the exhibition to see my photo"

He get no ClubSnap account also, cause he spend his time shooting and develop his own film...
