I don't know if this is new to the group but I just thought that some of you might find the the article as interesting as I did. To see what the innards of the D70 and how it can be opened.

Of course it goes without saying to please refrain from doing anything to your camera that would void its warranty (if it is still under warranty) or that would destroy it completely.

I just found it very interesting to see a D70 disassembled.

its a IR conversion "instructional manual" but if u make 1 mistake... warranty void sia..... very dangerous.. not reccommended, but SUPER recommendations if u wan to see wad junk they haf inside for u as a D70 owner....

thahhahaaa... but look.......... theres lots of locking mechanisms... why ??? :dunno: so pantang one..... =p

These locking mechanism are basiclly the ZIF(zero insertion force) flex cable sockets. These are better for reliability...but cost alittle more though.....
Maybe for later batches...they will go to the LIF(low insertion force) types...for cost reduction.....

Very simple hardware assembly.....looks cool.
