Digital Compact Camera Recommendation

Hi All,

I am comtemplating purchasring a digital compact camera

Price Range: SGD $400 to 600

I am looking for a 5 megapix (or thereabouts) ad have read a number of reviews, but i thought would like to get a first hand account if possible. I would appreciate it everyone could list down the brand the the model..

Maybe a Panasonic Fx9 will be a gd choice.. Compact and have image stabilizer.. Think its slightly over 600 for 1st hand ba..

The PowerShot A700 will be a gd start, 6MP with 6X optical zoom and full manual controls. Cost around $500+.

u can also look at A540 if u prefer AA batt
for me i prefer li ion batt...

Sony Cybershot cams, they've some which uses their proprietory info-lithium battery which is impressive!
