Well, if I'm using my Olympus C40 then I try to use the opitcal viewfinder whenever possible cos otherwise my batteries wont last even one smartmedia card.

I find that perhaps the EVF is closer to my eyes (pivot point) it's easier to aim, although it's easier to get more tired.. when the camera is held at a distance from my eyes its easier to tilt and aim it a little off...

EVF if I could shoot at eye level. LCD if I need to shoot macros and shoot over head....

i use the LCD to view and take my pics. the opitcal viewfinder is only 84% and has no guidelines for parallel errors.;(

Hi

Most of the time I use LCD...it's easier for me to shoot. But if under bright and sunny condition where the LCD screen cannot be seen clearly, I will revert to viewfinder...but this is very rare. Don't worry too much about the LCD consuming too much power...juz bring more batteries along. Kekeke
