It depends on the nature of your photography but it should suffice for short-distance work. Although the lighting is diffused somewhat, do note that it is still a form of direct lighting. Also note that this is going to be a drain to your battery too.

i haven't used it on people, only insects
works well to soften the built-in flash when at close range, but the problem is at minimum focusing distance the lens barrel will cast a shadow. shouldn't affect non-super-close-up shots lah.

heh. looks like one..but im surprised that its does it job when i tested it..not sure about the results when i bring it out to the field.

Not sure if i should get a lightsphere over my omnibounce though...
