For your lens, there is a minimum focusing distance of 0.35m. Are you focusing closer than that?

Read the lens manual, each lens have different minimum focusing distance. I believe even on manual focusing there is also a minimum focusing distance stated.

if its too close, change to manual focus...
also no use... each lens has a min focus distance... even if you chnage to manual mode.. you will still be unable to get a focus.

As stated by the others, there is a minimum focusing distance for all lenses. If you want to focus closer, you have to add an extension tube or a close-up filter.

If the focal dist is too shorter. Even when to change to Manual mode, turn the focus ring & then snap, the pic will still be blury.

What sort of close-up pic? You might want to consider a macro lens.

What on earth does this mean? :dunno:
:bsmilie::bsmilie: Mabbe he was in the office when typing reply, scared being caught by boss....

I guess what he means is like when using macro lens, turn focus ring for magnification then fining the focus by moving the camera forward or backward

Ah yes, this is a good way of finding and working with your minimum focusing distance.
