Difference in types of lens... needed help

What is the difference in 38-190mm and 28-200mm lens? Is the difference at the wide end and the tele ends significant?

difference at the wide end will be more significant than the long end.

yes, differences in the wide end are more noticaeable than differences at the long end.

yup.....basically 28-200 is better...considering all other factors constant....

38-190...never heard of such a range le..

I guess he is refering to the Sony 717 and the 828...

717 have 38-190, while the 828 have 28-200

I knew cos was hunting for a 2nd hand 717 for my friend... did a few comparison btw 717 and 828...
