Difference between Exposure Compensation and Electronic Analog Exposure display??

Hi guys can pls explain the difference between this 2... to my understanding it is good to keep it to 0...in addition was told by a fren that if the exposure display wonder to the + or - area .. adjust the shutter speed and also aperture... is it true?.. 2) Does adjusting the ISO help
