Deciding between C700 and C2100 ...

Can anybody help and point out the pros and cons of the two above mention cams ....

Which one will u recommend and y ..?

Both DCs has their own pros and cons lor.......

It depends on what u r looking for.....there're a number of threads here that detail the merits of both DCs...maybe you would like to start there???

both cameras are pretty similar in their capabilities.
decide if size is important for you. if not, go for the 2100UZ.

or.... go for the S602Z which is about $300 more expensive ;p

The diff in specs:

C-2100 has Image Stabilizer, C-700 none.

C-2100 has max ISO400, C-700 max ISO 800

C-2100 has no manual White Balance, C-700 do.

C-2100 max 1/800 sec shutter speed, C-700 max 1/1000 sec.

C-2100 has 49mm len thread, C-700 need len adapter.

Else...beside the diff in size and how they look..both are abt the same.

Or wait for the C-720UZ...the replacement model for C-700UZ. 3.3MP with 8x optical zoom.

Note: the S602z has a SuperCCD that interpolates 3MP images to 6MP.

yup, the C-720UZ is a very promising camera

C720 is supposed to be out in June.

It might be good if you check out the reviews of the various cameras ;p some of the websites I visited:

1. www.dpreview.com
2. www.imaging-resource.com
3. www.steves-digicams.com

They have lots of details and discussions on the camera. For a quick overview of the pros and cons, just check out the review conclusions!

But what's more important is that you know what you want ;p List down the features/aspects you think are important.

just went to AP today and played around with the 2100uz and 700 for like... 2 hours

just love the 2100uz for its feel
try holding both of them and u will noe why

what sold me on the 2100UZ was the image stablization (since both have the 10x optical zoom).

so far, very satisfied with my choice. (can get long range shots with my unsteady hand...)
