Pls comment, especially on my composition.

Petal at lower right hand corner is distracting. Too little space on the left and the border is nearly touching the petal

I like the Canon EOS Digital border as well as the colours.

hi,

where to get the eos border??

cannot really bring out the "death and alive" comparison... but nice bokeh...

cheekiang, since this is the critique corner, maybe you can pm TS your queries and keep the thread to picture critique? thanks :)

a very loose composition.

in this vertical frame, the subject (withering flower and bud) occupy 2/3 of the width from left, leaving the right 1/3 with empty space, resulting in an inbalance that distracts the viewer from your subject (a visually heavy left side) there's also too much space on the top. you probably simply centre on the flower stigmas without much consideration for composition. the 'closing in' of the oddly shaped bud doesn't quite communicate with the withering flower, in fact it looks like an alien object against the flower.

you might want to reshoot this in another frame.
