why don't you get the D90 charger locally, i don't think it cost much too.

In my opinion, you should get the body locally as it don't have international warranty for that and i don't think there is much difference in price. But rather you may get better price for most lens. Further to that, you will enjoy 1 year if international Warranty and 4 more years of 'local' warranty in USA. :)

Recently bought 3 sets of GGS 2 screen packs at $18 each at TCW. Can just easily put it on the camera by oneself but must do it very fast, after ascertaining exact position, to avoid any dust easily getting in between. Just simply use 'goo gone' to clean & remove sticky residue if there are too much after removing GGS. I believe the GGS is part glass, same as LCD.

Changed a new LCD for D90 at NSC recently too at $33. So price difference is not that great compared to GGS. Wondered whether I should just leave LCD as is without GGS & then change it when scratched. But GGS looks & feel good & help to some extent so continue to use.

where is TCW? will there be anyone to help stick the protector?

Remote cord works like your shutter button, helps you control the camera remotely when you don't want to touch your camera to prevent unecessary shakes - very crucial for some shoots. Wireless on the other hand, allows you to be further away from the cam (like when you do self-portraits). Neither can replace the specific function that each is meant to do. There are some overlapping purposes, and limitations of each. But I think depending on how you use your D90, you can get either or both.

thanks for the note :)

Hi,

Just to check is the new 28-300mm leans is good for my D90? Or I just but 18-200mm will do. I used to take event and need to stand far.

Hope with some advice.

one thing to note is tt at approximately 800g, it's a little on the heavy side, almost twice the weight of the kit lens. Some people might find it a bit difficult to balance the weight. This is from my view.

28-300mm is an FX lens right? While the 18-200mm is a DX lens.

It's actualy best if you go down to Nikon showroom and test the lens, compare it with the 18-200mm.

Depends on what you're using it for... It can be a good lens or unsuitable. For me, I'd choose 28-300 because of its longer reach. It's about $200 more than 18-200mm...

Like what smiles88 says, it's DX versus FX lenses here. Hard to advice.

u should b able to use a fx lense on a dx body, but not dx lense on fx body.
go ahead for the longer reach n when u upgrade to fx, u hv a 28-300 lense to use instead of changing ur whole arsenal.

any idea if its possible to bring out the electronic analog exposure display/exposure compensation bar in the viewfinder/shooting information display to the top control LCD panel?

I don't think so. But to the LCD screen, yes. All you have to do is to press the 'info' button near the bottom right corner of the LCD screen. Your shutter speed, aperture, EV and other settings will be shown there

totally depends on your usage. you get a longer reach but lose out on the wide end. from my understanding, 28-300 was made for FX bodies to get a similar field of view as 18-200 on DX bodies. if you slap the 28-300 on your D90, you get the FoV of 42-450mm. confused now? :bsmilie:
