Hi guys does anyone know how much does it cost to fix this?

If you are using AF-D lens, make sure to set the aperture ring to the smallest aperture. This is will solve the fEE error.

Hi done that but error is still there...it's only gone if i set it to the max aperture on my AFD 50mm f1.4..

All right. Glad to hear that that you got it solved. To prevent it from happening again, on the aperture ring there is a tab which slides over to lock the aperture ring at the smallest aperture.

The aperture lever found near mount on the body might be bent. I encountered that once on a D610 body.

If you are adventurous, you could try straightening it yourself. Look it up.

This seems to be the solution. By default you have to set lenses with manual aperture control to the minimum aperture (biggest number) on Nikon camera bodies.

If you want to use the aperture ring on the lens, you need to set Custom Menu f9 Aperture Setting to "Aperture Ring" (page 327 of D700 manual)
