Hi, can i ask about the best quality in maximum JPEG & RAW output file size only.
for D800 if shoot in Raw the file size at maximum around 78-79MB.

Large and set to Optimal Quality,
Raw set to 14-Bits & Type Lossless Compressed,
for FX format only.

Thanks

I have tested at NSC on both 600 &. 800 with only class 4, 4GB SD card. 600 - jepg about 10mb , raw 25 mb.

800 - jepg 27 mb. Raw 50+ mb

Decided & bought 600 due to file size which is easy to handle on my pc

Congrats. Enjoy your new toy!

There are two options to wirelessly control the camera The WU-1b Wireless Mobile Adapter (which is fairly cheap at ~US$60) - but this only works with the free software that is available for Android or iOS The other option is to use Camera Control Pro 2 installed on a computer, but you would need to buy the UT-1 Communications Unit and WT-5a wireless transmitter.

Thanks bro. :)

Wow this setup will cost at least $1500. (since US sell the bundle at US$1299).

does the D600 have auto 1/focal length when mounting different focal lenses in Auto ISO?

What range of yr DX 10-24mm is useable when shooting in FX mode?

Around 15mm-24mm, but do note that there will be vignetting at the corners, which is quite visible if you shoot a white wall.

After testing with speed of 1/500 to 1/1000 at yesterday night F1. Took some photo at f20 this morning and discovered that there are several dark spots on the sensor. Did any of D600 user encounter this. Could it be simlilar to D800 oil stain after serveral photo shoot.

As a whole, the nikon d600 ( 24 mp ) is a very superior full frame sensor. This type of craters details used to be achieved from multiple stacking of plenty of images, but now only a single shot is required, which saves a lot of time in image acquistion.

If you deply the Nikon D800e ( 36mp ) to do the same, i believe even more detail will pop up.

I saw some photos in Flickr taken with D600 but processed in Lightroom. I wonder how they do it. I have many files waiting to be processed and even the 4.2 lab version don't support the D600 yet....
