hard, solid pictures of the D5100 being used by some guy (or girl :x)

Here are some Kick-ass pictures for the D5100 campers! And No it's not an april's fool joke.

Some might have doubts, but it's real. Not a 600D because the lens is a nikon's. Has nikon Strap, and shaped like a D5000.

Oh yes There will be a Nikon Day on April 7th, 2011 in Bratislava, Slovakia and one of the organizers promises an event “full of surprises“ So that means the announcement would be 7th april!

Surprise me. Give us D400 & D800 that day!
Highly unlikely. Before the situation in japan, everyone is expecting aug to be the month for the announcements. Now, nobody has any idea.

I think it will be delayed until next year. Always push the dates back so you'll be surprised when it comes out earlier!

Woah I just read that it will have ISO 102,400!! Although I doubt that it will be v usable but to have that high of an ISO limit on an entry-level cam is a 1st..

Yup, can "retire" my good old trustworhty D5000 for this new D5100. At least will have a decent LCD display this time around with all the added bonus...

921k LCD. Thousands, not millions. Relax.

It is the same LCD resolution as d90.

And yes, d7000 sensor. I got a feeling we have not seen the end of this sensor. D400? Hmmmmm

102,400 ISO, Selective colour in-cam editing, in-cam HDR, 4fps for an entry..
"Nikon D5100 Pictures – Canon 600D make way! " - quoted from the website..

let's replace all AF lenses with AFS for this body..
