D400 anyone?

After the D4 and D800, now I am starting to feel excited about the D300s successor. Hopefully, good sensor (DR and high ISO performance), good frame rate, and less MPs. Of course, cheaper also lah.

Most probably gonna be the 24MP sensor from the NEX7/ A77. Same AF as the D800 and more or less the same improvements.

I think nikon won't go that large MP for DX sensor.

If got 16~18 or 21MP still considering quite good enough.

I always think the D300/s will be the last of semi pro DX Nikon bodies. The next next one will be a semi pro FX like a D700 or D800 but with a crop DX mode for DX users to slowly blend into full framers.

But then again I may be wrong..

Don't forget Nikon sensor is from Sony, Sony apsc are 24mp and their rumour a99 which is full frame will be 36mp, so I wont be surprise that the d300s replacement will be 24mp as well

Canon 7d which is due for replacement this year is 18mp so the chances are even higher

I like the speed of the Nikon D300s. Better high ISO capability and slightly higher mega pixel count would be good!

Yeah. Even the upcoming D3200 is rumored to have 24MP.

That's more mega pixel than anything in the Nikon lineup except for the D800 and the D3x.

D7000 very good already. Unless they plan to integrate a D300s+D7000 together. Don't think another FX will be coming in so soon.

D7000 image quality + D300s ergonomics & built quality = wish come true for the king of the DX

juz imagine a D7000 with 51 AF point, D300s built quality and ergonomics, ok la up the MP say, 22? Dual slot, CF and SD. Not bad rite? Anyway if Nikon does come up with another FX so soon, then FX will be too mainstream. If they really do come out with another FX camera, not on par with the D800/700, what will happen to the DX cameras?
