Hi audiophiles,

Do any of you use customized earphones to match the contours of your ears? I find the current options for my earphone not suitable. Is there a place I can get it made and how much would it roughly cost?

Is the sound isolation improved or am I still better off with the triple flange option?

I've got custom molds made for my IEMs @ Jaben. Its at Adelphi opposite Peninsula, 4th(top) floor.:). The place takes orders for molds as well as fully custom earphones

I am currently using livewires IEM. Impressions of the ears were made at Jaben and they then send them to livewires for the molds to be made.

Isolation wise, comparing with the Westone UM2 and bi-flange tip, is about the same. But comfort wise, livewires are definitely better. Since my left ear canal is slightly different than my right ear, finding the right tip for both comfort and isolation is pretty difficult. My left ear would ache after a few hours of having a canal phone stuffed in it. But with livewires they no longer ache as they are shaped to fit your ears.

Thanks guys! Yeah just recently got the Shure SE530. While it sounds great, my left year feels a little raw after a few hours. Looking for something more comfortable.
