1. in what area is critique to be sought?

Composition - The cupcake intended as the subject is more or less positioned in the centre. Not sure if composition could be improved in any way. Would be glad to hear comments.

Also not sure if the top portion showing parts of the box should be cropped off and a top/bottom black border added would improved the presentation.

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
To show the creativity and appeal of cupcakes. They look more like works of art than food. Btw, it tastes pretty good too !


3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Taken at a Baby Shower celebration.


4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture

Felt more could be done to improve the photo given such a colourful subject. Not sure if bokeh could be improved as well.

cupcakes look excellent.. lighting is nice as well.. though i've a question on the focusing.. find it rather weird.. u might consider just framing just a few cupcakes.. composition can be better.

Lighting looks good.

Would say the order or randomness of the arrangment could have been better. It's not ordered or very random, kinda in between and the photo could have been enhanced if it was one or the other.

the framing on the left side, shows the edge of the "bottom", side of the box. If you could have framed the shot without that, think it would enhance the photo.

the cupcake on the bottom right also has a obvious shadow, that can be somewhat distracting. Fill flash/Dodging there might help?
