The OCBC Cycle Singapore Criterium 2009
was won by Australia's David Pell.

Some of the local riders feel that the Criterium equals Crashes and Burnout.

The organisers will be in a better position to make the race better next year following
the many suggestions and observations from local participants.

This is indeed the first time that the organisers are doing such an event in such
a big scale.

Anyone knows how to change tires, especially for roadies?

We were at Punngol End when my friend's tire pang chek...we had to pushed our bikes all the out. This set me to think of the importance of fixing a puncture. Is possible to change it ourselves ?

Dunno for roadies is it the same.
But for MTB, just use 2 tire levers to remove the tire, replace inner tube, then replace back tires.
In the event that you do not have tire levers, you can use your wheel skewers too.

It is less nightmarish to change a road bike tire. These day almost any instructional video on any subject can be found on youtube. just do a search at the site.

I say it is easier as a road bike tire is thinner. If you are riding a MTB which has a thick knobby tire...some wheel rim are just a constructed abit difference that even using the duo tire removing level, getting the tire off and back on is a real "iron man" task heh. I know, my rims are like that. hehehe.... Hope the video will be of some help. Tried experimenting with it yourself on a spare. You need to have done it a few times so you know what to do when it happens outdoor....in the middle of now where.

other MTB. A white frame with a red fork is
really beautiful.

You have a different stem for each of the bike.
Can you let us have more info for using different
type of stem?

Is both bike of the same size?
What type of tires do you use on the two GTs?
Can you give us a closer look at the tires' thread?

Hope you will come back to ride regularly again
with your three days of hard labour brushing up
the bikes in tip top condition.

Have to agree that GT frames are indeed very well built.
As for the answers to your questions, the 2 bikes have different frame sizes. One is M, and one is S.
The stems are both stock GT stems that came with the bike, the one on the Avalanche1.0 is slightly longer.
Tires are also stock too, Tioga Factory Extreme front and Tioga Factory XC rear.

Will surely cycle regularly if time permits.
Most likely will start off this saturday with a trip to Southern Ridges.
