Yeah I have. Contrary to what they said, you _can_ edit the photo. Just make sure it doesn't look like you did anything to it.

yes... both for online application as well as cropping and creating a multiple pic for 4R printing (8 passport size pics).

I send in mine 3 days ago. I set up 3 CFLs (One key, one fill and one hair light) + Sony A100 + Minolta 35-105mm + tripod. (Photographer is my wife :lovegrin:)

Shot at F11 @ 1/125, turns out okay. I just adjusted the white background wall a bit brighter. No need to worry about cropping, cause when you submit your photo. A sample photo will appear side by side yours before submission for you to compare. You can make minor adjustment to match the eye brown and chin guide lines based from the sample photo. You may have to start again when you click back page though...

Thing to note, don't try to do it after 2am cause the payment system will behave funny :sweat: it keeps giving error message. I only manage to make payment after 7.05am.

hair light is to create depth and separate subject from b/g, for shooting white b/g as such, hair light is not necessary.

a better set up for ID photo is place the light above camera and place a reflector in front of the subject to reflect some light to lighten shadow of the eyebag and nose area. another light is just to light the white b/g. simply yet effective.

my daughter passport i use a canon powershot A570 to make one... auto setting... approved... but if u apply online it is 10 bucks more ex... sent there cheaper at 60 only...

Yap actually two lights will be enough, but notice that my hair not so detail cause black color so just add one more light on top just for fun and experimental :)
