Craziest Motherboard Ever Made!!

I suppose audiophiles would prefer to tap the digital audio stream from the motherboard and use external DACs with tube analog "back end".

From the layout it does not look like there is adequate isolation of the analog section from the digital circuits.

Right, and motherboard audio is not exactly good to begin with. Besides, it adds to the heat in the system. Luckily this one is not for AMD CPUs...

Probably just a gimmick. ;)

Actually, since the tube is a pre-amp level tube and not a power amp output tube, the tonal quality can actually be done using software dsp routines. No real need to go through the trouble.
