CR2 raw using CS4 extended

I have Photoshop CS4 extended, I have encountering problems in opening Cr2 raw files from my cam using CS4. Is CS4 compatible for CR2 files?, always prompt " could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document".

Hello erv0809.
It all has to do with the RAW plugin for your Photoshop CS4. Most likely your CS4 is not updated.
In fact, CS4 is more than capable of recognizing the latest version of CR2's.
All you need to do is to go to menu: Help-> Updates, and click on that.
Wait for the list of updates to be generated and look for the latest RAW plugin.
Download it and you're done.
