CR2 or Raw Files

Ehm,


I got an old mac with old CS photoshop.
When i try to use it to open the CR2 file, it says that it cannot reconignise the format.
Means i will have to upgrade my software?
Any other work around?

Adobe DNG converter, it's free. Lightroom 3, about USD250, IIRC.

Another advantage: DNG is a royalty free format, supported by all Adobe software. Whatever you use in future and whatever Canon might do to its RAW format, DNG is still usable.

Went to the web ad saw the latest version is DNG Converter 6.4 incase any new user like me wonders

PS: i confess that i downloaded a 5.5 version and cannot convert earlier.
