hi guys,
may i know what is the real difference between CPL vs ND. what i know is that both reduce the amount of light. in what situation will be using CPL and when to use ND and how does it affect the photos taken.

CPL: sky
ND: landscape

thanks

Please do a search.

It has been discussed loads of times. A CP-L is meant for cutting off polarised light which may affect pictures in terms of reflections as well as increasing contrast in certain colours.

The ND is a neutral density filter which cuts off light evenly to reduce the amount of light entering the lens.

Errr...., if you don't mind I do a little correction: it should be C-PL, not CP-L.

Arto.
