CPL and Metering

hi all, currently i'm very confused as to how to go about and use my cpl properly.

i know i have to turn the cpl to get the "blueness" of the sky which i want, however, what metering shld i use? spot? or average?

your answers are greatly appreciated!

just meter as you would normally, no difference
with a CPL and not a LPL

to get a greater effect u need to be a 90degree angles from the sun.
metering does not affect anything
