Did you bargain at CP? Tell them TK Photo's offering and ask them to match it. Of course, you have to make sure the $185 is including GST first.

Hmmm, how do you test the CP-E2?

bring 6 batteries, stick it into the CP-E2, connect to your 550EX mounted on a camera and fire away in burst mode.

where is TK?

anyway, i called cathay yesterday , the guy quoted me $230!
MS color quoted $165... but no stock... dunno how true...

Like mpenza suggested... JUST GET THE CHEAPEST! :D

U don't really need to bring 6AAs, just make the shop lend you 6 and fire away continously. I've seen a 550 EX + CP-E2 fire contiously like for 30 shots? There's one owner of the above setup in CS... heehee...

But most imptly, buy only if you need the battery pack & fast recharging time.

And also not forgetting...Buy buy buy!!!!

Could only buy it for $210...

Does anybody know how to make a DIY shoulder strap for the CP-E2??Or is it sold at Cathay?

Bought a lowepro sling pouch that can hook onto the lowepro reporter/steath series just now at Lords. Can put the CP-E2 or SD-8A inside and hook on the belt instead of having to sling across the body.

Hope it helps.

Thanks to Newbie123 for the heads up to avoid going to toilet to remove belt to put the battery pack on ;p

Hmmm..is the Lowepro Sliplock Pouch suitable? If so, which model is more suitable? Pouch 10 / 20 / 30? (Size should be just enough to put in CP-E2 and can be either attached to belt or hanged on shoulder)

S&F Pouch 20 is good enough ;)
