1. In which area is critique or feedback to be given?
Composition

2. What were you hoping to achieve with this image?
To show irony, the match that started the fire was eventually "eaten" by it

3. Under what circumstance was the picture taken?
In a kitchen stove at night , with a borrowed macro lens and tripod

4. Thread-starter's personal thoughts about the image.
I wasnt able to get smaller and more separated blue flames, turning down the gas made the flames look "weak"

nothing wrong with the composition and the cold blues worked well with the flames too! everything filled the frame up nicely

just wanted to say that the glowing match in the middle made for interesting viewing

nice shot! clone that black spot or dirt off would be gd too.

Very nice , it too tight crops above , nicer if we could see the top of fire as well .

Interesting! You brought out the irony indeed!:thumbsup:

thanks for all the comments ! maybe the top of the fire should have been included in the composition =) ...

Nice color and shape. You are good in selecting your subject.

Is that a burning match on the right side? My sight ended there. I think the composition can be improve by using rule of third(or equivalent) on that thing. Perhaps you could zoom out a bit, include the top of the flame so that the burning match is placed lower on the frame. This is just a suggestion. As I could not see the entire image, hence it might not be relevant.
