That's one National Service group I have not heard in a long time. Pre-CD for sure.

Much better than this. Tough and well fed with a lot of freedom.

They worked in the construction industry to curb the shortage of manpower. Many stayed and many became the supervisors of the the industry.

Those who could not take the tough routine dropped out after serving their due.

Me too trained as combat engineer and became armour engineer.

We use APC to lay AT mine when the terrance permit.

Not too sure. But I think the unit's name is diluted. It did contribute to the construction industry and at the same time you serve NS. Win win situation.
