Confused btwn CANON 60D or Nikon D90

Hi there, would anybody be able to advice on the above two choices to get? The prices seems to play a part as well as the quality too. What are the pros and cons of these two?
Was thinking of buying during the IT upcoming IT fair should have more freebies rite?

1. Nobody can tell you which to get, that's a decision you need to make for yourself. FYI, we have MANY MANY MANY threads like yours. Did you bother searching, or are you just expecting people to do all the research for you?
2. List the pros and cons between these 2 based on reviews, and most importantly, decide which feels best in your hands.
3. Look at Sony, Pentax, etc as well. You might be surprised by the value for money you can get there.
4. Every 3 months we get threads saying "I should get during IT fair, it's cheaper/more freebies right?" and the answer is NO. The "freebies" are usually semi-worthless junk costing 50-100 at most, and in exchange you pay full RRP instead of saving 100-200 dollars and getting it at the recommended shops. There is NO suck thing as "freebies", you always pay for it.

would rather you go those recommended shops and buy, can try till you happy not like it fair kanna squeeze..

Do you know:
The so call freebies in IT fair is exactly what you get from street, plus a bit more (such as dry cabi and maybe a 50mm). Hence the additional price you pays goes to the "a bit more" which is usually more ex than u buy outside. Dun fall for the stupid trick happens abt 6 to 7 times a yr..

When you compare the 2 camera, hardware specifications comparisons can be found all over the web. Photos captured by photographers with both cameras can also be found on Flickr.

Though personally, it doesn't really matter if it is Canon or Nikon or Pentax or Sony.

What is important is you are comfortable with the camera, the feel of it. I think since it is not a small amount, you might want to go to the relevant showrooms to touch the cameras and see which you prefer.

Also, buying from IT shows is not a good idea. Most of the time you will be paying retail price and get "freebies" that are not really very useful.

My advice to you... as I have mentioned in all similar threads in CS would be,

1) Read the reviews yourself from the net.
2) Understand what you want and what is good to have
3) Go down to the shops to test out the cameras
4) Get the one you feel most comfortable with.

Take special note of the following,

a) Ergonomic (placement of buttons, switches, grip design and size, etc)
b) Weigh (sometime 50g can kill you)
c) User interface of the camera (menu arrangement)
d) Extras - AF in movie mode, articulating LCD, movie mode, panorama, fast AF speed, fast continuous shooting, magnesium body, weather proof body, etc.

And like what others had mentioned - stay away from IT fair, you would not get anything cheaper, goodies that they give you are junks that you will most likely throw one side and forget about them.

best is that u go down to the shops n try both cameras out. then see which camera suits ur preferences more.

If you are getting a body with kit lens, just get the quotes from the shopS. And go to whichever you are comfortable with. Some go to certain shops because of their service even thou they may cost (a little) more than other shops.

What do you think? There are a list of shops out there... and all of them had good to very good reviews. Plus it is definitely cheaper to buy camera with kit lens than to buy camera body and lens separately, unless the lens you want to get is different from the kit lens offered by the camera's manufacturer (not by the shop as many had mistaken).

TS, the choice between Canon and Nikon is a personal one. Nobody on CS can make that decision for you.
Just note that every brand will likely have some feature which will 'wow' you, and possibly some which will annoy you. You just gotta pick one and go for it! Ultimately you won't go wrong choosing either.

In all likelihood it won't be the last DSLR you ever buy, so no big deal if you discover later on that you prefer another brand/model.

Do at least consider some of the other brands before making your purchase decision.
