Dear All;

I have a piece of paper where someone had penned a medical term for a particular form of medical treatment. Unfortunately for me, his hand writing seems pretty un-intelligible to me and i do need out to make out what he has written. Unfortunately, the option of refering to the writer is not possible so if anyone could make out what he is wrote, it would be quite appreciated. :)

Physio Therapy..

From what I can see, it is most probably "Physiotherapy"...missing a 'y, h' there, but I think that's the nearest medical term to that.

it says

"phiso teraphy".

which of course should mean

"physiotherapy"

oh well

actually im no better myself....i have no right to comment on the handwriting/spelling.

when i was in school/uni, my teachers/lecturers had no problems reading, but when i started work (many years back), my colleagues just cannot decipher what im writing almost 60% of the time, till today. i wonder why??

The person who wrote it is probably a doctor. They are notorious for such poor handwriting; so much so that ppl called it the doctors' symdrome.

syndrome... keke...

anyway, i've been to a specialist clinic over at NUH recently. on the wall of the doctor's office was a directive by NUH's admin to write clearly... believe it or not... :bsmilie:

Of course, I believe it 'cos they are notorious for their atrocicous handwriting and there must had been a lot of complaints that's why they need a directive to remind them to write clearly. Otherwise, why is there a need for a directive on this matter?

Takes a doctor or a non-doctor with doctor's symdrome to read another one's handwriting.:bsmilie: :bsmilie:

It's physiotherapy with bad spelling :bsmilie:

reason for poor handwriting is due to the long words they always need to spell and they dun have the time to spell them properly. hence its mainly for their own reference, usually start with few alphabets legible, then those in between that are not useful, just scribble!

A little free now, thus. ;p

"Phy" are usually lumped together. Cos I always write like this. :bsmilie:

The reason for the missing 'h' in front of the word 'therapy' and the reason for it appearing behind turning the word from 'therapy' to 'teraphy' is becos its easier to flow along that way. ;p
