Configurations for a P&S cam Sony DSC-W30

hello everyone, i've recently received a Sony Cybershot DSC-W30 as a gift from my mum. but i couldnt fully utilize the functions. what mode should i use when i want to take pictures during night time? how do i adjust the aperture value and all? comments welcome~
