Conceptual Stock Shoot at Kallang national stadium with lighting
Date: Saturday, 11 September 2010
Time : 3pm to 7pm
Location to meet : North entrance of stadium
The location is good as it is sheltered. Rain will not affect the outing here.
We will be in this building area for the whole duration.

Simple explanation of conceptual stock shots and practice sessions.
I will explain what kind of stock photography shots will sell.
How to light the pictures with flash if needed.

you can think of picture concepts using keywords examples like ( man girl happy ) or (lady eat fruit ) then plan for how to set up the shot like man and girl in garden feeling very happy or lady holding slice of fruit to mouth and pretending to eat it.

Items to bring
DSLR
Flash
Tripod
Flash triggers if needed otherwise check whether your camera systems allow off camera flash usage
Translucent umbrella ( Daiso ) or flash shoot through umbrella
I have 4 pairs of flashes and triggers to lend out to let people try.
any small props that you deem necessary for your shoot

Everyone is welcome even if they do not have the right equipment.
They can join the teams and share the equipment.
They can learn and then decide what to get if they want equipment.
We will use ourselves as the models.

There is no price for this free outing as it is meant for everyone to share their skills.

some tips for stock shots.
stock shots have no logos and no recognisable clothing so as not to infringe on any copyright.
anyway, no coca cola will use pepsi logo in their advertisements.
a generic idea will appeal to more people so don't think of too specific themes
