Computer RAM - for laptop

hi I want to upgrade the RAM in my laptop. Does anyone have any recommended shops? I've never done this before - just bring down the laptop the guy will fix for me? Thanks ah.

btw, any idea what the price is like?

depends on the laptop - P3 / P4 / Centrino?

There's DDR266 & DDR333 rams for laptop now. Usually able to DIY. But for IBMs, they have an indepth downloadable guide on "how-to-take-apart" your IBM notebook. The rest, well most of them, would have a slot where you can easily open yourself and install, thus saving - $40/50 service/install charge.
