Compact Flash Card cannot be use when put into camera

Dear Comrades,

Having this problem when I put in my Kingston 8GB CF card into my AL850 Sony "Cannot use CF card"

Try formatting card etc. Able to read in PC but when put into camera same problem.

Any resources available that can help me restore my card to be able to use again in camera apart from recovering the images?

I hate Kingston. I find them very unreliable. Best to use Sandisk

I sold my Kingston. Couldn't stand it.

on the other hand, both my kingston 1gb and 2gb never give me a single problem for the past 5yrs+. but that was with sd, not cf tho

Their SD cards are ok. It's the CF that I hate.

Happens to me occasionally. Just keep trying to format it in the camera, turn it off when it hangs, try again, etc.. It will eventually work
