Comment on Mobile Phone: HTC Touch and Dopod D810

Thinking of changing mobile phone, appreciate if anyone could comment on the above mentioned phones.

HTC Touch : No 3G i believe. no keypad. uses HTC Touchflo technology. be prepared to get lotsa thumbprints on your screen.


D810 : Currently using it. Great phone IMO. has everything you need. Wifi, 3g, HSDPA, I've loaded mine with "cooked" WM6 rom with a 12mb paging size. super fast!! in SG its selling for about 1.2k without contract. i got mine in taiwan for roughly 900 SGD! Highly recommended!!

Alternatively, you could wait for the HTC Kaiser which comes with a 64mb graphics accelerator and keyboard ^^

Use the D818 for abt 6 mths last yr... at first it was good, but then it started giving wierd problems.. signals dropping and cannot be recovered unless rebooted, the touchscreen giving wrong 'inputs' (press "8" it came out as "1" etc).... Got fed up with it and traded it in for a Nokia E60 which was so much better.
