Coloured K-x international warranty?

Hi all, can i check if anyone know if its possible to get international warranty for a custom coloured k-x in japan? I read that its possible here

Think he's the only one who bought it back from japan and With the international Warrenty.

Those two post is awhile back. As for now, the price of K-x locally is so much cheaper, buying from Japan, is like paying a premium for the colours.

Thanks! Well I will avoid paying 7% GST since my friend is picking it up. Might even be cheaper than singapore!

Regarding warranty... international or local... most of the time the problems arise only after the warranty period has expired!!!! :bsmilie:

Hope your friend is not there for holiday and on tour. ^^

I almost got one from Japan also but in the end i choose for something else. ( Also lucky i chosen something else my friend went to Hokkaido and only have a 1 day tour at Tokyo, didn't even have time to help me find.)

I still dreaming of owning a Yellow K-x :lovegrin:

if you order from japan (amazon japan) and then send the invoice to pentax USA , and give them a vpost USA address would you be able to get international warranty?

I think by law you still need to pay the GST when you pass the ICA checkpoint for valuable goods buying from an oversea trip. Just in practice, it depends on whether you are caught by the customs officer.
