Most of the time I avoided using fill flash for back-lit subjects. For a change, I used a beamer and the feathers really glitter.

Nice series... bland bg really makes the KF stand out... You seem to have a very co-operative subject... those that I meet are relly shy to have their photos taken... *sigh* ;>
