Does everyone know of the photography competition, "Co-op Hot Shots International Photo Contest" which is held by Singapore National Co-Operative Federation (SNCF)? It is a photography competition which is open for all where by all you have to do is to take a photo that falls under any of the following five themes: Co-Operation, Self Help, Equality, Mutual Help, Care for Others.

The date line of the contest have recently been extended to 17 of September, and there is up to $6000 worth of cash prizes to be won as well which mostly falls under the 'Open Print' category of the contest! Multiple entries are welcomed to be submitted to as many categories as you like! Entries can be submitted at the website, events.sncf.org.sg/hotshots

Photography Contest Rules & Regulations

What’s the purpose of the contest?
This contest is organised by Singapore and National Co-operative Federation. (SNCF). We’re looking for photographs that revolve around the 5 principals of the Co-operative Movement. They are Co-operation, Self-help, Equality, Mutual Help and Care for Others. The photography contest and online voting will run for 10 weeks, from 1 July to 5 September 2014. There will be an Online Fun and Open Print Categories for ‘Singaporeans and Residents’ and ‘International Photographers’.

How do I enter?

For Online Fun Category, upload your photos on our Facebook app. In your submission, please include a title to describe your photo and tell us which of the Co-operative principal you are relating to.
For Open Print Category, download a form from our website, mail a hardcopy of your printed photo together with a softcopy in a CD to SNCF 510 Thomson Road #12-02 SLF Building Singapore 298135 Attn: Wendy Poh. In your submission, please include a title, and a caption of not more than 50 words to describe your photo.
The photographs submitted should revolve around one of the 5 principals of the Cooperative Movement. The images can include but not limited to people, objects, events, plants, and animals so long as they can illustrate the principles well.
What are the rules?

Local Category is open to Singapore and Residents currently living in Singapore. International Category is open to those living overseas.
Submitted photos must be an individual’s own work, and he/she must own the rights to distribute the image.
If faces are visible in the image, the submitting photographer is responsible for securing consent to publish.
Direct manipulation that distorts the reality of the photographs will not be allowed. Only basic enhancements such as sharpening, contract adjustments, converting colour images to black and white is allowed.
Photos must not contain or imply pornographic, slanderous, racial, obscene or vulgar content.
By participating in the contest, the contestants agree
that the decisions of SNCF, Facebook, Instagram and/or the judges are binding and final in all matters relating to this contest;
that SNCF reserves the rights to amend the contest, prizes, and the awarding of prizes, and disqualify any photographs deemed as inappropriate;
to indemnify SNCF and all employees from and against all claims including but not limited to invasion of privacy, defamation, slander, libel, violation of right of publicity, infringement of trademark, copyright or other intellectual property rights;
to allow SNCF to use all entered photographs for publicity (including but not limited to educational, advertising, public relations, exhibitions, marketing and promotional purposes, and in publications of the newsletters, Internet use) in any media in perpetuity and without compensation, crop or manipulate the photographs, and use the name submitted as the creator of the entry;
that any violations of these terms and conditions may disqualify you from the contest.
SNCF employees are not eligible to win.
How will the winners be chosen?

Winners of the Open Fun Category for Local and International will be chosen based on 100% public voting.
Winners of the Open Print Category for Local and International will be chosen by our guest judges, Mr. Peter Chew, Mr. Felix Chew, Mr. Bernard Teo, and Ms. Dolly Goh. The criteria are relevance to Co-operative principals, composition and arrangement, focus and sharpness, lighting, and creativity.
Results will be announced on http://hotshots.sncf.org.sg/. All decisions are final.
SNCF retains the sole discretion over the final selection of, and decision not to select, any particular entry as the winner.
What will the winners receive?

Winners in each category will be contacted by SNCF via email by October 31, 2014. The winners will be required to respond by email to SNCF within 7 working days or alternate winners will be selected.
For Local Online Fun Category, the winner receives S$388 cash prizes, 2nd place receives S$288, 3rd place receives S$188, and plus 1 judges’ choice of S$68 cash prizes.
For Local Open Print Category, the winner receives S$1000 cash prizes, 2nd place receives S$500, 3rd place receives S$300, and plus 10 merits of S$100 cash prizes each.
For International Online Fun Category, the winner receives S$288 cash prizes, 2nd place receives S$188, 3rd place receives S$88, and plus 1 judges’ choice of S$68 cash prizes.
For International Open Print Category, the winner receives S$800 cash prizes, 2nd place receives S$500 and 3rd place receives S$300.
All International prizes will be given in the form of Amazon gift vouchers.
