The statistics are interesting till you realise that numbers don't mean much. That is, taking one or two hostages is not the same as flying an airliner into a building, yet they both count as one act each.

And I wonder why Waco was considered a terrorist act; more like a shootout, wasn't it?

Interesting read: All terrorist are Muslims........except for the 94% that aren't, with official numbers from the FBI, this is how the US media is fooling their people and the world:
it is always nice to have the world in a climate of fear.

majority would still be bombings.

big bomb, small bomb, still bomb.

terrorism is defined as:

act of terrorism, terrorist act (the calculated use of violence (or the threat of violence) against civilians in order to attain goals that are political or religious or ideological in nature; this is done through intimidation or coercion or instilling fear)

The bit about Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans is bigger than is being said, but they don't want to offend the largest minority of voters in the U.S.A.

There have been a number of cities "under siege" as they say, due to drugs and guns. Murders in certain cities have skyrocketed in the last few years and these cities have had a big influx of Puerto Ricans and the FBI moved to set up a task force in the most quickly increasing violent cities.

Despite that, a lot of white people still feel that Muslims are the problem, never having met any. Then again, blacks were the problem years ago when white people didn't know them.

I find it interesting that the FBI didn't mention the radical Christians who bomb Planned Parenthood offices and abortion clinics. I suppose this has to do with not offending voters, also.

What about the KlukluxKlan - dunno if they are still active in these days of mobile comms and internet. They were around to instill fear.

How about I.R.A, F.A.R.C or E.T.A or the Aryan Nation , are these freedom fighters or rebels or terrorist or? If those terrorist in the Mid-east was not taught by the US during the 80's their modus operandi might be different or might not evolve to this. Not that I condone the terrorists act which are despicable but this is what happens to US for fighting on both sides of the fence.

And expect the rest of the world to help them clean up their act. The U.S government thinks the rest of the world forgets their mistakes of past. Now FBI and CIA seems like the KGB or GUI of communist era but not restricted to their own country.

Old folks' home in Los Angeles? Maybe that's why terrorists don't attack LA or California. Too many action movie stars that can shoot 1000 terrorists without having to reload their guns!

That makes the American Government the worlds leading terrorist organisation in the past 65 or so years!

The point is that if an act is large enough, it will get publicity, the press can't suppress it just because they want to, and they certainly won't be scooped.

So Waco, Tokyo sarin gas, Oklahoma city bombings, etc all got their share of publicity.

Hence, instead of saying the media is biased, one should look at the impact of the acts first.

That there remain skeptics in the muslim world who claim Sep 11 was a conspiracy doesn't help create a positive image for them.

Do you know what germany had to do to regain the world's trust after nazi-ism? They made denial of the holocaust a crime.

Statistics are not helpful here. And neither is media-bashing.

The atomic bombs were mainly to test the effect of the bombs (2 types) on places that were specifically chosen for not being bombed before.........and they were also afraid the russians were about to 'invade' Japan, so they wanted to stop and win the war as soon as possible, so that the US can go into Japan as the only victors and not share it with the russians.....

all can be seen from recently released US top secret documents and shown at the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb museum. I highly recommend people going to that museum

Japanese with their code of bushido will meant a extremely high casualty rate among the citizens in a invasion of the Japanese mainland (Operation Downfall) if the nuclear bombs was not dropped instead.

The invasion of Okinawa and Iwo Jima alone took more Japanese lives, including over 140,000 to 150,000 Japanese civilians killed in Okinawa than when Hiroshima and Nagasaki was bombed, in a way you could argue that that release of nuclear bombs prevented the unnecessary loss of lives instead.

That's what the US wants the world to believe, this was actually not the main reason (it played a role, but wasn't the main reason and the Japanese were already losing) as those documents have shown, you should read those documents yourself in Hiroshima.............

Of course we all know there are separate point of views from different entities however fact remains that history is written by the victors alone. ;)
